The SDL Foundation supports PRIDE (Partners for Rural Improvement and Development in Ethiopia)Partners for Rural Improvement and Development in Ethiopia “PRIDE”
This charity proposed by SDL Flatiron is a non-profit entity founded by volunteers in Boulder, Colorado. PRIDE has been providing assistance in school construction, health, clean water and other developmental needs to three villages in the rural highlands of North Shoa. SDL's donation has enabled plans for 2010 to be speeded up, these include:
Arrangments to cap a spring near the Dinshink School that supplies water to 200 residents The construction of latrines at all 3 of the supported schools The purchase of new desks, tables and chairs, as well as school supplies such as notebooks, pens and chalkboards Additional medical supplies |  |
SDL Foundation have committed to providing $25,000 to advance PRIDE’s School Improvement Program for 2009/10. This will help provide critical and lasting improvements in basic education in rural Ethiopia.
